Entebbe International Airport
Your safari begins early in the morning with pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. Soon after departure, the city scenery fades into open countryside. Green plantations, roadside markets, and traditional villages line the route. Meanwhile, your guide shares insights about Uganda’s culture and history.
A lunch stop is made along the way. Afterwards, you continue toward southwestern Uganda. Gradually, the landscape becomes more mountainous. The air feels cooler. Excitement grows as you approach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. By late afternoon, you arrive at your lodge near the park. You check in and relax after the long drive. Later, you enjoy dinner in a peaceful forest setting while listening to nature’s sounds.

You wake early and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Shortly after, you transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. Rangers explain trekking guidelines and safety procedures. Further, you are then assigned a gorilla family and begin your forest walk. The trek moves through thick vegetation and rugged terrain. At times, it is challenging. However, it is extremely rewarding. Eventually, you encounter a gorilla family. More so observe them feeding, resting, and interacting. One full hour is spent in their presence. This moment feels emotional and unforgettable.

After the trek, you return to the lodge for lunch and rest. Later in the afternoon, you visit the Batwa community. The Batwa share stories, dances, and traditional skills. You learn how they once lived in harmony with the forest. This experience adds strong cultural value to your safari.
In the evening, you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you check out and begin the return journey. The drive offers more scenic views of hills and countryside. Along the way, you stop at the Uganda Equator. You take photos and browse for souvenirs. Lunch is served en route. Later in the evening, you arrive in Kampala or Entebbe. Your guide drops you at your hotel or airport. This marks the end of your 3-Day Gorilla Trekking Uganda safari.
